The Shenandoah Attic opened its doors in 1990, by Al and ernestine Hockaday, after Al served 30 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. “The Attic” started out on East Nelson Street and moved several times to accommodate growth over the past sixteen years. “The Attic” is now located on Main Street in the heart of Lexington Virginia’s Historic District.

ernestine (yes, she spells her name with a little "e" and that is how she likes it!) fills “The Attic” with products from around the U.S. and abroad, products you will be proud to give to that special person. And proud to own. Our eye is always on quality and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Come visit the Shenandoah Attic in Lexington. We welcome each guest to “The Attic” with a “friendly Hello” and a sip of special apple cider. Our motto “Hospitality is our Trademark” says it all. See you soon!
